Today I used the time to start a small field-research. What solutions with purposes for elderly people do still exist on the market. And for which specific problem or scenario? I also went deeper into the question what could be the biggest problems/challenges in the daily life routine of aged people
Field research
What do still exists in that area? For which specific problem is the solution? I found mostly standalone solutions for one specific case. Examples:
- a smart cane, which sends an alert in case of a fall
- an automatic medicine distributor-robot
- much hearing aid
- communication aid for new technologies
Mentoring
The feedback from the personal mentoring helps me to clear out my focus. For what am I looking for? Where are really the problems? In which areas or situations of life could a digital assistance really have an impact on elderly people? With keeping that in mind I go further trough investigate into my pretotype.
