I dig deeper into the «question what could be the biggest problems/challenges in the daily life of aged people?» What solutions do still exist in that area? The main information needs to include a concrete perception of the actual installation, product or object.
Important questions and reflections for me are:
Form of the assistance?
- Should it be a real physical object? Should it be something that people can touch and interact with?
- If yes, could it be more than one? Maybe a modular system, which can communicate from device to device.
- Maybe makes it more sense to think of an integrable system, that you just can combine in your personal environment (in your furniture, in your existing devices like phones or televisions.)
- Are other humans also a part of the system/product/solution?
Of course, especially for elderly people, it is very important to create an easy and understandable output. But which output is the best opportunity?
- Voice?
- Visuals (displays / screens)?
- Haptic or others?
In which form shoul the assistance communicate?
