Final Presentation
This morning we present our results form the 2-week seminar to class and mentors. After a quick feedback, we filled out a survey of the course.
Momentary conclusion
The last two weeks really helped me to clear my focus. It brought me a useful topic, in which I can combine personal interests and also a personal relationship with my great-grandmother.
I'm sure that new technologies can make the daily routine for elderly people more comfortable and enjoyable. The question is just in which way? It’s time to break the limitation of commercial used technology only for industry and younger people for other areas of application. Technical solutions must also create a direct gain for elderly. This requires more concepts and solutions as already exists today.
Related to that I have to digging deeper in the topic of computer-assistance. Where do they come from, how do they work?
In a next step, myself goal is to find one of these concepts in term of fixing a problem. For that, I will give my developed «pretotype» to my great-grandmother. I will her exactly explain how to use and track her daily routine. In this way, I come to recorded data over a few days. With this field-observation, I hope to come to new perspectives and get a relevant area, in which my bachelor project, in the end, will go.
